jvim-canna software package provides Japanized VIM (Canna version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jvim-canna
jvim-canna is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jvim-canna package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jvim-canna *
You will get with jvim-canna package name, version, architecture and description in a table
